The city of La Paz (3.600 m.a.s.l.), with a population of 2.193.665, is the central tourist city most important of Bolivia. Departing from this city, you can go easily to different ecological strata like the Highland, the Royal Mountain Range (above 6.000 m.a.s.l.), and tropical sites in just two hours of travel far from the city.
Chacaltaya ski slope (at 5.350 m.a.s.l.) is the highest of the world whence you can see the entire Andean Royal Mountain Range and the Titicaca Lake. Among other most impressive attractions, we have Uyuni Salt Flat (at 3.800 m.a.s.l.) which is 10.000 square kilometres; this salt flat is the world´s biggest litio reserve. Also we have South Lipez region, with all the sights of the volcanic mountain range, salty lagoons populated with flamingos, and the unusual lagoons Red and Green.
Acclimatization ascent to Licancabur volcano at an altitude of 5.900 m.a.s.l. We visit the city of San Pedro of Atacama and its surroundings, crossing the Atacama desert which is the most barren place around the world. Ascent to the volcano The Eyes of The Salted One at 6.893 m.a.s.l. which is the world´s highest volcano, located at the north side of the Chilean region.
PROGRAM:
Day 01: Arrival in international airport (4.000 m.a.s.l.) Transfer from the airport to the hotel.
Day 02:A visit to La Paz city, its museums, Government Palace, Jaen street museum, the witches´ market, residential neighbourhoods, and the Moons´ Valley. Night stay at hotel.
COPACABANA – TITICACA LAKE Day 03:Early in the morning we depart towards the town of Copacabana by exclusive transportation, approximately 3 hours of travel. After the lunch, a visit to the town’s surroundings like Intikala and Inca´s Horca. Night stay at hotel.
Day 04:After the breakfast a half day of excursion to Titicaca lake (3.810 m.a.s.l.) Then we go to the Moon Island by boat. Finally return to La Paz city and night stay at hotel.
Day 05:We depart from La Paz city towards the department of Potosi (4.100 m.a.s.l.) Night stay at hotel.
CULTURAL POTOSI
Day 06:Early in the morning from 09:00 am to 11:30 am we are going to visit the mine Paillaviri. In the afternoon from 02: 00 pm to 05:30 pm we are going to visit the Coin House. Night stay at hotel.
Day 07:We depart in the morning from Potosi, crossing along wonderful landscapes like oasis and impressive canyons, to arrive in Uyuni. Night stay at hotel.
UYUNI – SALT FLAT
Day 08: We depart to Uyuni salt flat (4.500 m.a.s.l.) Arrival in the town of San Juan. Night stay at lodge.
Day 09:Travel to Red lagoon (4.200 m.a.s.l.), we stop at the desert of Siloli. Arrival in Red lagoon. Night stay at lodge.
Day 10: Early in the morning an excursion to see the Geysers; we arrive in Green lagoon (4.400 m.a.s.l.) at noon, this lagoon is located at the foot of Licancabur volcano. Camping night.
Day 11: Ascent to Licancabur volcano (6.000 m.a.s.l.), return to the base camp. Camping night.
SAN PEDRO OF ATACAMA
Day 12: Departure from Green lagoon, crossing along the landmark Cajon, frontier between Bolivia and Chile; we are going to do a short travel in the town of San Pedro of Atacama. In the afternoon, an excursion towards the Moon Valley.
Day 13: Early in the morning a visit to the Geysers of Tatio; then we continue with a visit to the town of Chiu Chiu. Arrival in the town of Calama. Night stay at hotel.
Day 14: Departure from Calama visiting a harbour in the Pacific Ocean, and the mine Chuquicamata. then we go to Tocopilla, we do some stops at the banks of the sea. Arrival in Antofagasta. Night stay at hotel.
Day 15: A travel to the American pavement of the road of Charañal leading to the “Sugar Bread” National Park in the ocean. Camping night in the beach.
Day 16: A travel to the city of Copiapo. Night stay at hotel
Day 17:Departure from Copiapo; arrival in the lodge of Murray (4.600 m.a.s.l.) this day is for acclimatization and a trekking towards the surroundings of Green lagoon. Camping night.
EYES OF THE SALTED ONE VOLCANO
Day 18: Ascent to the university’s lodge (5.000 m.a.s.l.) using a 4x4 WD Land Cruser. Camping night.
Day 19:Ascent to the camp (5.800 m.a.s.l.) Camping night.
Day 20:Ascent to the Eyes of the Salted One (6.893 m.a.s.l.), then we return to the university’s camp. Camping night..
Day 21:Return to Copiapo. Night stay at hotel.
Day 22:A tour around Copiapo and its surroundings. Night stay at hotel.
Day 23:Transfer from the hotel to the airport to take the flight. End of our service.
